Tidd Family Funeral Home

Born in Hilliard, Ohio, Rick Tidd founded Tidd Funeral Home in 1981. He is a 1970 graduate of Hilliard High School, a 1973 graduate of Franklin University with an Associate Degree in Business Administration, and a 1974 graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Rick leads his staff by example, emphasizing a proven approach to caring and personal attention.

His wife, Arlene Headlee Tidd, is also a lifelong Hilliard resident and a licensed cosmetologist. She also assists with administrative duties at the funeral home.

Rick belongs and contributes to many organizations including the Hilliard Ohio Historical Society. In July 2021, Rick donated his coveted 1800’s horse drawn hearse to the historical society. It is proudly on display in our “motion” room of the museum.
