Santa and Mrs Claus in the Train Station
Meet Santa and Mrs. Claus in the Historical Village Train Station! Children can share a Christmas list with Santa, receive a special treat, take a horse drawn wagon ride, eat donuts, and drink hot chocolate.

Tree Lighting Ceremony
Park at the village or take a trolley ride from downtown Old Hilliard to our historical village this season. We feature Mrs. Claus and Santa’s elves in the schoolhouse with children writing letters to Santa and coloring bookmarks. Enjoy live reindeer, balloon twisting & face painting in the museum and a inflatable gingerbread house & giant snow globe. Harpist in the church and a taste of Christmas decorations in the buildings. Don’t forget the other special activities this night only.

Haunted Village
It’s not too spooky for the family, but a lot of fun! Join us on Friday, October 18th, 6 PM – 9 PM & Saturday, October 19th, 6 PM – 9 PM, at the Historical Village & Museum and collect candy through our decorated village & museum. Crafts in the chapel and stories in the schoolhouse. Kids wear your costumes for prizes! Food and drinks available.
Admission: $5 per person, kids 3 and under are FREE.
Coffee Festival: Village & Museum Hours
Columbus Coffee Festival is Saturday, Oct. 5 from 9AM -6 PM & Sunday, Oct. 6 from 9AM - 6PM. There are coffee stations in the train station, music at the pavilion, coffee vendors, a goat farm, poetry center and various activities around the village! Take a walk through our museum to see the History of Coffee Exhibit. Docents will be available from 1:00 PM-5:00PM both Saturday & Sunday.
This is a paid event through Columbus Coffee Festival but we accept any donations!
Ohio Open Doors
Join us and fellow Ohioans in communities throughout Ohio to celebrate Ohio Open Doors on Sunday, Sept. 8mfrom 1:00-5:00. This is a statewide event where we can showcase our village and museum, along with sharing how our village depicts the central parts of Hilliard’s history.
Archival Library’s Open House
Hilliard Historical Society Archival Library has an Open House on August 31st from non until 1:30. We’ve opened our doors for you to stop by and see why this library is unique to families of Hilliard residents.

MLK Day
This is a Martin Luther King Day of Service event, at the Hilliard Senior Center, the Hilliard Ohio Historical Society will have a display table to show historical artifacts, talk about the Historical Village and the volunteer opportunities available.

4th of July Parade
Starts at 9AM at the Franklin County Fairgrounds near downtown Old Hilliard. The Historical Society will have our antique cars in the parade.

Kids of all ages - come to the Hilliard Ohio Historical Village Train Station in Weaver Park to share your Christmas list with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Heritage Day
